BBA Student, Jordan Lian invited to study at Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow

Mountain View Teen Invited to study at Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow

Mountain View, CA - September 8, 2011 - Jordan Lian (16), a student of Bayer Ballet Academy (BBA) got the kind of invitation every young dancer dreams of - after attending their summer program in New York City, Ms. Lian was invited to study year-round at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow, Russia. Also known as the State Academy of Choreography, this is the affiliate school of the Bolshoi Ballet Company.

There are few paths to dancing on the big stage and few more rigorous and promising then studying at the Bolshoi. "Jordan is a beautiful dancer. Both hardworking and talented, she has accomplished much in her year with us." says Inna Bayer, founder and artistic director of the Bayer Ballet Academy in Mountain View and Jordan's teacher, coach and friend for the last year.

"Being asked to join the students in their Moscow program in not just proof of Jordan's commitment and talent but to the quality of training at our young school. They look for technique as well as talent, especially in teenaged dancers, talent alone won't suffice." explained Ms. Bayer. In addition to a full classload at Bayer Ballet Academy, Jordan attended two Bayer Ballet Academy summer intensives whose pedagogy is led by a former Bolshoi Ballet Academy instructor Margarita Yussim and by Ms. Bayer who trained at the State Academy of Choreography and Dance in Voronezh, Russia and who toured internationally as a principal dancer of the Kiev Classical Ballet Theater.

Bayer Ballet Academy (BBA), a young, growing school in Mountain View prides itself its attention to the kind of details that help a dancer tap her potential. BBA helps dancers at every level develop the discipline and skills to work at their maximum potential using the methods of Agrippinna Vaganova, the famed teacher of George Balanchine, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Anna Pavlova, Maria Seminova, and many others at the Vaganova School of Ballet in St. Petersberg.

Meanwhile, the Bayer Ballet Academy (BBA) extends it hearty congratulations to Ms. Lian. Students from the Bayer Ballet Academy have been accepted at prestigious summer programs at American Ballet Theater, San Francisco Ballet, Bolshoi (NYC), New York City Ballet School, Royal Ballet School in London as well as as year round programs such as the Bolshoi in Moscow and the Kirov Academy in Washington, DC.

"We wish Jordan continued success in striving to reach new heights in her artisty and technique and in improving her ballet skills," continued Ms Bayer.
